How to use the Windows Event Logs for deep device redirection analysis.
First, let's activate Windows Event Logging for different device redirection channels on the server-side. In this article we'll use NirSoft's EventLogChannelsView for convenience, but any other method or tool could work as well:
- Launch the EventLogChannelsView tool on Cameyo server.
- Enable the below blue-highlighted items:
- Connect your client to the server, using the native player + device redirection.
- Launch the Event Viewer (or NirSoft's FullEventLogView) and look for events that concern device redirection:
This should give you advanced information regarding the device's redirection.
